Idle Eyes was formed in Vancouver, Canada in the early 80′s by Tad Campbell and Australian singer Donna McConville.
First solid version of the group included drummer Phil Robertson and bassist Don Biggar. There are some early recordings from Australia.
In 1995 Idle Eyes signed with W.E.A. Canada and released their first LP “Idle Eyes” which included the #1 Single “Tokyo Rose” and “All Day”. First major recording and touring line-up was Tad Campbell vocals-guitar, Phil Robertson-drums, Glen Smith-lead guitar, Miles Hill-bass, John Webster-vocals. 2nd LP had Ken (Scotty) Hall on lead guitar and Bruce Mackenzie on Keyboards. “Blue Train” featured Tom Christianson on bass, Ken Hall on guitar as well as Phil Robertson and Bruce Mackenzie…other prominent touring members included Dave “Dudley” Welsh, Kevin O’brian, Randy Booth, Al Webster and Dave Stone.
